Civil mediation focuses on conflict resolution skills, the art of mediation, inclusive and reflective listening, negotiations and how community mediation is social justice work. Gain conflict resolution skills through this live training (via Zoom) and then volunteer for a local conflict dispute resolution program as a mediator.
All who are interested in becoming a civil mediator are welcome to attend Community Mediation Minnesota’s online 30 Hour Civil Mediation Skills Training. Attending all 30 hours is required in order to meet Minnesota Rule 114 Civil Mediation requirements. Those who complete this course can apply to become Minnesota Qualified Neutrals on the Supreme Court Civil Mediation Roster. CLE Credits can be applied.
Dates of training: June 2 (Thursday), 6 (Monday), 8 (Wednesday), 14 (Tuesday), 16 (Thursday), 20, (Monday), 22 (Wednesday). Time: 9am – 1pm CST Location: ZOOM
The cost of this civil mediation training for those intending to volunteer for a Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP) is $150 (Scholarships are available) If you wish to obtain a scholarship, contact the CDRP you are volunteering with or with whom you are planning to volunteer.
If you do not plan to volunteer with a Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP) the training fee is $700; CLE credits have been applied for.
