Did you know that the third Thursday in October is Conflict Resolution Day? This year it’s October 17, 2019. Conflict Resolution Day was first conceived in 2005 by the Association of Conflict Resolution to promote awareness of mediation, arbitration, and peaceful means of resolving conflict. The annual event is now celebrated globally.
The mission of Conflict Resolution Day is to bring the idea of peaceful conflict resolutions to our everyday life including school, family, community, government, and every other aspect of life.
We hope to see more and more people use the power of mediation to resolve conflict and create change! Do you have any plans for Conflict Resolution Day? Here’s a way you can get involved right in your home: Adopt a Conflict Resolution Day proclamation or pledge on how you will work to resolve conflicts around you.
